Early Thanksgiving

Today and last evening we were in Portland to celebrate Thanksgiving with Steve's family. We are doing this a little early because his parents have a place in Florida now and will be there until spring. We are happy for them but it will be hard to have them be so far away for so long. The food, as always, was delicious but being together is always the best part. The squeals from the kids playing together upstairs makes us appreciate the wonderful family we have. Sitting around the living room watching Bridget trying to get a piece of Nick's birthday cake off a plate was one highlights of the afternoon. Poor Bridget! She was about worn out after working at that task for about 15-20 minutes. She was finally able to pull the plate off the table to get a bit of a reward. I'm sure she would have been more thankful if we hadn't made her work so hard.
