Halloween
Irvington has an annual Halloween Festival which we have enjoyed for the past 17 years. The weather is unpredictable. We have had high winds, rain, and even a little snow in years past. This year was cold but dry. We are thankful for the dry part.
In preparation for the big Saturday event, the businesses along Washington street where the street fair takes place, donate window space for painting. Someone, not sure who, partitions the windows into squares for kids and adults (but mostly kids) to paint. We have done this several times over the years. Last year and this year Lauren and Erica invited friends from school to paint windows with them. Elora, Lauren's friend, and Rosie, Erica's friend, are sisters. They spent the night with us and went to the festival on Saturday. Here is their beautiful art work on the windows across from Lazy Daze.
Rosie made sure that this skeleton has its eyes on you!
We had a good Halloween night. Although we did miss the Garriott's yearly Halloween party since they are across the ocean. Erica went trick-or-treating with her friend, Sarah; Lauren went to a couple of parties; and we sat on the neighbors porch handing out candy to the little ghosts and goblins. Erica, if you can't tell from the picture, was a Greek Goddess. Lauren, was a black cat.

Thanks for updating us with the pictures. Lauren you make a scary looking cat and Erica you make a beautiful Greek goddess! Wish we could have seen you in real life but the picures were great!
