Celebrating another birthday

Steve's grandpa Hubert celebrated his 95th birthday on Halloween. His son had a party for him on the 1st so we went to visit with family and wish him a happy birthday. The kids and some of the adults went for a hike on the farm. The bonfire was not necessary early in the evening but as the sun went down and the night grew chilly, it was an added bonus to help keep us warm. Here are a few pictures of the kids playing and the cake for Grandpa Hubert.

As you can see the kids had a great time rolling down the hill. Hey, watch out for the dog poo!!

Unfortunately, not everyone could make it to the party. We missed you all. Steve's dad was sick with some nasty congestion and fever which kept him away as well. Due to the contagious possibilities, we decided to stay with Steve's brother for the evening. Thanks for putting us up Mark and Judy, Candler and Lily!
